Hempel Silic One Antifouling | 77450

Hempel's Silic One is a biocide free, high solid, fouling release coating which is based on silicone. A hydro gel micro layer provides a smooth, low friction surface which prevents organisms attaching to the hull and propellers. Service life of Silic One on the hull is 2 years.

Add a touch of colour while also protecting your vessel from marine organisms and growth.

What do I need to do before I use Hempel Silic One Antifouling Paint?

It is recommended that you have use the Hempel Silic One Tiecoat before applying the Silic One Antifoul. The surface temperature must be above 10°C during application and the relative humidity must be between 30-50% during application and curing.

What types of boat can I use this on?

You can use the Hempel Silic One Antifoul on all of glass fibre, wood, plywood and steel boats. Avoid use on aluminium or other light-alloy metals due to the risk of corrosion in case of direct contact.

How many coats of Hempel Silic One Antifoul should I do?

It is recommended to do 2 coats of Hempel Silic One Antifoul at 80 µm dry (or 100µm wet) film thickness each. For seasonal maintenance, it is recommended to clean the surface and then apply one coat of Silic One.
