The Hempel Tiger Xtra Antifoul Paint is a high strength, self polishing erodible antifoul that will protect your hull from marine growth. The Tiger Xtra range by Hempel has a high mechanical strength for excellent crack resistance and is suitable for dry-stack or continuous immersion.

Protect your vessel from marine growth while also adding a splash of colour. The Hempel Tiger Xtra offers high performance, erodible antifouling for an excellent protection all season.

What do I need to do before I use Hempel Tiger Xtra Antifouling Paint?

It is recommended that you have previously used one of the following primers before applying the Tiger Xtra Antifoul:

It is also recommended that it is applied in a well ventilated area with less than 85% humidity during drying and curing. If you're applying the white Tiger Xtra to aluminium substrates, ensure that it is suitably primed.

What types of boat can I use this on?

You can use the Hempel Tiger Xtra Antifoul on all glass fibre, wood, plywood, steel and aluminium boats. Only the white Tiger Xtra can be used on aluminium boats and ensure that it is suitably primed due to the risk of corrosion in case of direct contact.

How many coats of Hempel Tiger Xtra Antifoul should I do?

It is recommended to do 2 coats of Hempel Tiger Xtra Antifoul at 40 dry (or 80 wet) film thickness each.
