The Hempel Paint Stripper is a highly effective, solvent based paint remover which can be used on most painted or varnished surfaces

We recommend doing a small test patch prior to application and the duration of treatment required is noted. The shortest duration is required for antifouling, alkyd paints and varnishes, and the longest for silicone and epoxy. Use with caution on glass fibre and plastics, as it may harm thermoplastics.

How do I use the Hempel Paint Stripper?

  1. Apply the product liberally with brush or roller to a dry surface
  2. Do not treat too large an area in one step
  3. Cover the treated area with aluminium foil to prevent excessive evaporation
  4. Leave to work for 30-45 minutes until the paint coat dissolves or lifts
  5. Scrape off old paint and clean with hot water and a boat shampoo
  6. Old and thick coats may need a repeat treatment
