Hempel's Wood Impreg is a clear alkyd oil with good penetration properties. Used to saturate wood before application of varnish or paint systems. As a first coat for wooden boats and hardwood, interior and exterior, above the waterline.

• Application Methods: Brush / Roller / Paint Pad / Spray (for professional use only)
• Touch Dry: 2-6 hours at 10°c / 4-12 hours at 20°c
• Re Coat: 16 hours at 10°c / 8 hours at 20°c
• Thinner & Tool Cleaning: Hempel No. 1 (5 - 20%)

Application

• Ensure all surfaces are clean, oil free and dry.
• Stir product well before use.
• Depending on porosity of the wood, apply 2-4 coats of the product wet on wet.
• Allow the wood to absorb the oil for a few minutes then remove surplus with a clean lint-free cloth to avoid film-forming.
• Allow surface to dry, then overcoat with required Hempel varnish or paint system.
  
• The surface must be completely clean and dry at the time of application and its temperature must be above the dew point to avoid condensation.
• Do not apply in direct sunlight.
• In confined spaces provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.
