Hempels Classic Varnish 2.5L is a large pot of a traditional varnish produced from the highest quality materials. It has excellent application, a flexible finish and long term UV filters will ensure you an uncompromising finish that will last for many years. This varnish has a high gloss finish and features good resistance to seawater, sunlight and adverse weather conditions.
For internal and external use above the waterline. If overcoating times are exceeded, abrade the surface and wash off with fresh water.

- Clean with Surface Cleaner, dry, abrade to remove loose matter and key surface
- Remove dust using a vacuum cleaner
- Apply Classic Varnish
Untreated wood
- Clean with Hempel Pre-Cleaner and Degreaser, dry, abrade to remove loose matter and key surface
- Remove dust using a vacuum cleaner
- Seal / prime with Classic Varnish thinned 20-30% with Hempel's Thinner No.1 (811)
- Followed by 4 coats of Classic Varnish
- Add thinners to assist application if necessary
- Stir all products well before use
