Hempel Polygloss Polyurethane Topcoat - All Colours | 55530

The Hempel Polygloss Topcoat is a high-gloss, two-component polyurethane enamel that is especially suited for application by brush, and features excellent gloss and colour retention. This topcoat is highly durable and protects against abrasion and degradation.

How do you prepare a surface for the Hempel Polygloss Topcoat?

Previously Coated

  1. Abrade the surface.
  2. Clean with suitable detergent,
  3. Dry the surface.

Uncoated (glass fibre)

  1. Clean with suitable detergent.
  2. Sand & remove dust.

Uncoated (steel)

  1. Remove salt & other contaminants by high pressure fresh water washing.
  2. Remove all rust & loose material by abrasive blasting or power tool cleaning.
  3. Dust off residue.

Uncoated (aluminium)

  1. High pressure fresh water wash.
  2. Grit blast with non-metallic abrasive.

Uncoated (plywood)

  1. Sand & remove all dust.
  2. Seal with suitable wood sealer.
