The Hempel Propeller Primer Spray is the perfect fast solution to priming your propellers, outdrives, chock marks and other small patches on yachts. This primer has amazing adherence to glass fibre, steel and other metals.

Product must be stored according to local legislation, at 5℃ (41℉) without direct sunlight and protected from rain and snow.

How do I apply the Hempel Prop Primer Spray?

  1. Mask other areas including the anodes prior to application.
  2. Shake well before use.
  3. Spray for a distance of 20-30cm from the surface.
  4. Apply one layer of Hempel Prop Primer at a time, until a smooth & uniform surface is obtained.
  5. Shake the can occasionally during use.
  6. Spray upside down at the end of spraying to clean the nozzle.
  7. Overcoat with chosen antifouling.

What film thickness should I aim for with the Hempel Prop Primer Spray?

For the best performance, it is recommended to avoid excessive film thickness. Several coats may be required to obtain the specified film thickness.

  • Dry film thickness: 30 micron
  • Wet film thickness: 150 micron
