The International Original Yacht Varnish is a traditional yacht varnish with high UV resistance that is suitable for sea, fresh and brackish water. This varnish features excellent flexibility, a good gloss retention and a high clarity finish suited to most colour timbers, making this the perfect choice of varnish for your vessel. This varnish was designed for ease of application, and as such can be applied in a variety of methods, allowing you to apply this via your favourite method.
The International Original Yacht Varnish is suitable for power boats and sail boats alike. For the best results, follow the instructions on the varnish.

How do I prepare a surface for the International Original Yacht Varnish?
Previously Varnished (good condition)
- Clean the surface with International Super Cleaner.
- Sand smooth with 280-320 grade abrasive paper.
- Remove sanding dust with International Thinners No.1 (available as 500ml and 1L).
Previously Varnished (poor condition)
- Remove all previous coatings.
Bare Wood
- Ensure the surface is thoroughly degreased.
- Sand smooth with 80-180 grade abrasive paper.
- Sand again using 280 grade abrasive paper.
- Remove sanding dust by brushing, dusting and wiping.
- If wiping with solvent, allow to dry completely.
