Lofrans X1 Vertical Windlass

The Lofrans X1 Vertical Windlass features a vertical drive shaft for the gypsy, resulting in a compact deck unit with the motor and gearbox housed under the deck in the chain locker. The X1 Windlass has watertight stainless steel ball bearings in the base for better functionality and reduced maintenance, which is a unique feature in the windlass market.

The clutch of the Lofrans X1 Vertical Windlass is made by two conical discs connected to the main shaft by two parallel planes on the shaft, in order to avoid using keys and allocate the weight load properly.
