Usually when you fall overboard, the best chance of rescue is from your own boat. The MOB1 will not only send out an AIS signal to all vessels in the vicinity, but it will also activate your boats DSC alarm on the VHF which will alert your crew to the emergency. The integrated GPS will give an extremely accurate location to your vessel and any others that may be assisting. Not to worry if the visibility is minimal, as the MOB has a powerful integrated strobe light.
