The Hempel Thinner No. 1 is the perfect solution for those few special situations where thinning is necessary. Paint can be thinned to improve the flow characteristics and to increase the ability to be absorb, however care should be taken to not exceed the maximum recommended ratio of thinner to paint, as it can adversely effect the product. Hempel Paint is designed so that thinning is not usually required, however if the paint is to be applied in a low film thickness or has become too thick, then thinning using the correct thinner may be required.
